ARQUE Advocaten was founded based on my ambition to combine excellent legal services with a personal and dedicated approach.

ARQUE, the feminine form of “ark,” refers to my origins and the location of our firm. Like many Cape Verdeans, my father came to the port city of Rotterdam in the 1970s to work as a skipper.

I inherited his hard work and passion for the business from him and put it into practice in the city where “no nonsense, just action” is the motto.

After hearing about my working methods that “the firm isn’t my father’s,” I developed the idea of ​​a law firm where lawyers support each client as if the firm belonged to their father (or mother). Genuinely committed, yet with a business acumen.

This law firm is now a reality: ARQUE Advocaten advises and litigates on issues concerning intellectual property, media, and advertising, prioritizing high-quality legal and human services.
